1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LocaleLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. User Accounts

Account Creation: You must create an account to use LocaleLens. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Account Restrictions: One account per person or organization. No account sharing. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Abuse AI suggestion rate limits or API access
• Scrape, spider, or harvest data from the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code
• Use the Service to send spam or distribute malware
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with the Service's operation or other users' experience

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content (Translations & Projects)

You own your content. You retain all rights to translations, project data, and other content you create in LocaleLens.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

LocaleLens Platform

LocaleLens and its software, features, and design are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform.

6. Service Availability

No Guaranteed Uptime: We provide the Service on a "best effort" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Maintenance: We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security patches with or without advance notice.

Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any features at any time.

7. Pricing & Payment

Current Status: LocaleLens is currently free during the launch period. Paid plans will be introduced in the future.

Future Paid Plans: When paid plans are introduced, pricing will be communicated in advance.

Billing: Paid subscriptions (when available) will be billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

Service "As-Is": The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

No Warranty: We do not warrant that:

• The Service will meet your requirements
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI suggestions will be accurate or complete
• Translations will be suitable for any particular purpose

Maximum Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $100 if you have not paid anything).

Not Liable For: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including business losses, data loss, or reputational harm.

9. Account Termination

By You: You may cancel your account at any time through the settings page. You can export your data before deletion.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for legal/security reasons.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days (soft delete period for recovery). After 30 days, deletion is permanent.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocaleLens from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your content (translations, projects)
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration: Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, not class action lawsuits.

Informal Resolution: Before filing a claim, contact us at legal@localelens.ai to attempt to resolve the issue informally.

12. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LocaleLens.

Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without notice.
